Booking Terms for the Travelissimo Booking Platform
The website www.travelisimo.net is an online platform offering various services such as events, travels, accommodations and tickets. Viaggissimo Ltd., located at B1, THE ATRIUM, WEST STREET, Maid, Malta operates the website. It should be noted that not all of the offers available on the website are owned or supplied by Viaggissimo Ltd. In some cases, Viaggissimo Ltd. acts as an agent for the individual service providers and the contract(s) are between you and the service provider(s). Each booking may involve more than one contract, and the terms and conditions of the individual service providers will apply to each contract. We suggest that you carefully read the contract terms as they contain important information about your booking. If you do not have a copy of the terms, please request one from us. By making a booking through the website, you agree to be bound by our Booking Terms, which form a legally binding contract between you and Viaggissimo Ltd. When booking through the website, Viaggissimo Ltd. acts solely as an agent on your behalf, and the contract is between you and the organiser or supplier. Please note that the Booking Terms apply to the first-named person on the booking as well as any other person on whose behalf the booking was made or to whom the booking was transferred.
Sales
This section applies to all sales made by Viaggissimo Ltd., where we act as an agent or supplier.
How to book
To book an offer, please follow the instructions on our website, subject to availability. A contract will only be formed once we or the service provider issue you with an email booking confirmation. Your contract will be with the individual service provider, and their terms and conditions will apply to the service provided. If you purchase more than one service, there will be more than one contract. It is recommended to read the terms of the provider(s) carefully as they contain important information. The person who makes the booking will be considered the lead name and will be responsible for ensuring all payments are made and advising us of any amendments or cancellations. Amendments and cancellations can only be accepted in writing by the lead name.
By making a booking, the lead name confirms that they have read and agree to enter into a contract with the respective service providers in accordance with their terms and conditions. The lead name also consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy and Cookies Policy, is over 18 years of age, and, if booking services with age restrictions, declares that they and all members of the party are of appropriate age.
Price of your service
The cost of your offer, along with the booking fee, is determined by the service providers and can be viewed on our website. All inclusions in the ticket price are listed on our website. Any additional services not explicitly mentioned as being included in the ticket price will require direct payment to the organizer or supplier. The booking fee displayed on our website, along with the offer price, is subject to change before you make your booking. The final price of the offer, which includes the booking fee and any additional services you select, along with any applicable taxes or fees, will be confirmed before you finalize the booking.
Payment and fees
To secure your booking, you must pay the total cost of your ticket and any additional services you have selected in full, including the booking fee set by the service provider. Your booking confirmation will only be issued once we receive the full amount.
Various payment methods, including most credit and debit cards, are accepted. We make every effort to ensure the security of our website and the protection of your payment and personal details from third-party access. However, we are not liable for any unauthorised access to your personal data unless it is due to our own negligence.
When you provide your payment details, you confirm that they belong to you. All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the card issuer declines the payment, we will not be able to process your booking.
If you opt for our Payment Plan, you will also be bound by our Payment Plan Terms. In addition to the booking fee charged by the service provider, we charge a small fee for the majority of bookings, including those made using the Payment Plan option. These fees are used to cover the expenses of setting up and managing the Payment Plan, as well as marketing, promotion, distribution, and other expenses related to providing packages for some of the world’s biggest and most exciting festivals. We disclose all booking fees before completing payment to ensure that you are aware of the total cost before committing to a booking.
Cancellations and amendments by you
It is important to note that certain offers cannot be refunded and the booking fee is always non-refundable. If you decide to cancel your booking or any additional services, you must inform us in writing, and the cancellation will only be effective once we receive your notice. You will be responsible for paying any cancellation fees that are charged by the organiser or operator, as stated in their terms and conditions. In cases where the booking is non-refundable, the supplier will retain the full booking payment, including the booking fee, as a cancellation charge. If you fail to arrive at your booked venue by the specified time and date, this will usually be considered a cancellation on your part, and no refund will be issued. On rare occasions, the organiser or supplier may permit us to process a name change for a booking, subject to an administration fee (which is currently around €50.00 but may vary depending on the supplier). To arrange this, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you wish to modify your accommodation booking after the confirmation has been issued, we will do our best to assist you, subject to availability and any applicable cancellation or amendment charges imposed by the provider (which we can provide upon request, prior to booking if possible). However, please note that some of our bookings are non-refundable in order to secure preferential rates. An administration fee may also be levied for any changes (usually around €50.00 but may vary depending on the supplier).
If you have travel insurance and the reason for cancellation is covered by your policy, you may be able to obtain reimbursement for any cancellation charges from your insurer (after paying any deductible). However, you must pay us the fees first and obtain written confirmation of your cancellation before making an insurance claim. Please be aware that in some cases, fees may not be refunded in the event of cancellation, including payment plan fees, transaction fees, and dispatch fees. The provider’s terms and conditions determine this. For incomplete payment plan orders, we will collect all fees from any payments already made. In certain situations, we may subtract a refund fee to account for our processing and administrative costs.
Complaints
In case of any issues or problems during your stay, travel, or use of a service, it is important to notify the relevant supplier or organiser as soon as possible. They will make an effort to resolve the problem. If the issue is not resolved, please contact us at within 14 days of your return home, providing your booking reference and all other relevant information. We will then work with the supplier to remedy your complaint. It is important to follow this procedure to ensure we have the opportunity to investigate and rectify any issues, as failure to do so may affect your rights under your contract.
Insurance
We recommend that you obtain an insurance policy to protect you and your group from, at a minimum, expenses resulting from your cancellation. Additionally, if you are traveling outside of Malta for the event or location, we suggest you obtain coverage for medical assistance and repatriation in the event of an accident or illness, as well as for expenses related to loss of money and other unforeseen circumstances.
Passport, visas, health and security
Please ensure that you are aware of the passport and visa requirements for your travel destination. It is common for countries to require a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months after your return date and a visa may also be necessary. While the provider can offer general information, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary documentation. Neither we nor any supplier can be held liable if you are unable to travel or enter your destination country due to non-compliance with passport, visa, or immigration requirements.
Health requirements for international travel can change, so it is recommended that you check the latest updates on the Department of Health’s website or consult with your GP, practice nurse, or travel health clinic prior to your departure. While we or the provider can provide general information about health formalities, it is essential to seek advice from your doctor regarding your specific circumstances. If you are travelling to an EU country, it is advisable to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and carry it with you. The EHIC is available free of charge, but it should not replace travel insurance.
Special requests and medical problems
Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any special requests. We will do our best to pass them on to the supplier, but we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled. If you or anyone in your party has a medical condition or disability that may require assistance, please inform us or the provider before you make your booking, or as soon as possible after diagnosis if it occurs after you have confirmed your booking. The supplier may decline your booking or cancel it if they are unable to accommodate the specific needs of the person due to safety and health concerns. Please note that additional charges may apply for special arrangements that you request, and we will inform you of these charges at the time of booking.
Data protection
When you book a travel service on our website, we will collect your personal information such as your name, address, date of birth, passport number, and email address to make the necessary arrangements for your booking and to fulfill the contract for your travel service. Your personal data may be shared with travel providers, such as the organizer, to confirm your booking and fulfill their part of the contract for your event or site. We may also share your personal data with external companies such as payment providers, ticketing providers, customer service providers, and administration services providers to arrange your travel services. We will obtain your explicit consent to process and share health or mobility information for the purpose of arranging your travel services. We will handle all personal data in accordance with all applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will ensure that all suppliers and external providers, who are bound by a statutory obligation of confidentiality, keep your data secure in compliance with Data Protection Laws. We may also need to provide your personal information to security or credit checking companies, credit and debit card companies, regulatory or public authorities such as customs or immigration, or as required by law. Your personal information may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) where data protection controls may not be as strong as in your country. Whenever we transfer your personal data outside of the EEA, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information. We will store your personal data for as long as necessary in accordance with any legal, regulatory, or professional requirements. After the applicable retention period has lapsed, we will securely destroy your personal data.
Changes to your booking or cancellation by provider
The terms and conditions of the supplier will govern your rights in relation to any changes or cancellations made to your booking. We will inform you of any changes as soon as we are notified by the event organizer or supplier. Please refer to the event’s terms and conditions as changes may not be eligible for refunds. As an agent, our responsibility is to promptly notify you of any changes that we are made aware of by the supplier, so that you can exercise the rights available to you under the supplier’s booking conditions. If you are due a refund or any other payment from the supplier, we will pass it on to you as soon as we receive it. Other than this, we will not have any further responsibility or liability to you regarding any changes or cancellations made to your booking.
Our responsibility
We assure you that we will offer our agency services to arrange your bookings with reasonable care and skill as an agent. However, we will not have any other liability in connection with the event/travel or other services that you purchase on our website. The liability of the organizer and other suppliers in relation to the services they provide to you will be determined by the contracts you have with them.
Governing law and jurisdictiony
The Booking Terms that govern our business are subject to Maltese law and shall be interpreted in accordance with it. Any disputes or claims related to these Booking Terms shall be decided by the courts of Malta.
